The Ord Chanticleers softball team scored 14 runs and limited the host Fairbury Jeffs to 7 in the Chanticleers non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Ord improves its record to 1-6 on the year. The Chanticleers travel to Gothenburg (Gothenburg, NE) to clash with the Swedes in a non-league game on Tuesday, August 30. The Swedes come into the game with a record of 6-1. Gothenburg won 11-0 in their recent non-league game against Southern Valley/Alma (Oxford, NE)

In their next game, the Jeffs clash with the Holdrege-Adams Central Storm (Holdrege, NE) in a non-league game, on Thursday, August 25. Fairbury will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record. The Storm come into the game with a 5-1 record after their 18-6 league win over Lexington (Lexington, NE).
