North Carolina High School Volleyball - Mount Airy edged by West Wilkes

The West Wilkes Blackhawks held off the visiting Mount Airy Granite Bears volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Blackhawks now have a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Surry Central for a Foothills 2A test on Tuesday, August 30. West Wilkes will confront a Golden Eagles team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Alleghany (Sparta, NC). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 0-4.

The Granite Bears (1-2) will now prepare for their test against North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Greyhounds enter the non-league test with a 2-2 record.
