The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Paramount Pirates (Paramount, CA) and the visiting Pioneer Titans (Whittier, CA), saw Paramount's volleyball squad beat Pioneer by a tally of 3-0.

The Matadores go into the bout with a record of 2-2. La Mirada lost 3-1 in their recent non-league bout against Santa Fe (Santa Fe Springs, CA)

The Titans now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Rowland for a non-league bout on Friday, August 26. Pioneer will play a Raiders squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over South El Monte (South El Monte, CA). The Raiders record now stands at 7-1.
