    The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Seymour Panthers (Seymour, TX) and the host Anson Tigers (Anson, TX), observed Seymour's football squad defeat Anson by a count of 40-14.

    The Panthers now own a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Lindsay for a non-league contest on Friday, September 1. Seymour will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 41-0 non-league win over Meridian (Meridian, TX). The Knights record now stands at 1-0.

    Coming up next, the Tigers encounter the Archer City Wildcats (Archer City, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 1. Anson will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Wildcats go into the contest with a 1-0 record after their 44-8 non-league win over Quanah (Quanah, TX).
