North Carolina High School Football - Ashe County trounces North Wilkes

August 25, 2023: West Jefferson, NC 28694

In Friday's non-league match, the host Ashe County Huskies football squad scored a big 48-0 victory over the North Wilkes Vikings.

In their next game, the Huskies clash with the West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 1. Ashe County will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Blackhawks enter the match with a 1-1 record after their 28-21 non-league win over Elkin (Elkin, NC).

The Vikings (0-2) will now prepare for their match against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Cardinals enter the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, East Wilkes routed Surry Central (Dobson, NC), 24-18, in a non-league match.
