New Mexico High School Football - Belen knocked off by Manzano

August 25, 2023: Belen, NM 87002

Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Belen Eagles (Belen, NM), 16-7 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Manzano improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Monarchs host Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM) to battle the Jaguars in a non-league test on Thursday, September 7. The Jaguars come into the test with a record of 1-1.

With the loss, Belen drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Eagles host Artesia (Artesia, NM) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Friday, September 1. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 2-0. Artesia won 42-6 in their recent non-league test against Hobbs (Hobbs, NM)
