The Bessemer City Yellow Jackets football team (Bessemer City, NC), was tipped 10-6 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC)

The Wildcats (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Ironmen come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record.

The Yellow Jackets now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Avery County for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 1. Bessemer City will meet a Vikings team coming off a 55-6 non-league loss to Watauga (Boone, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 1-1.
