    The Standish-Sterling Panthers football team (Standish, MI), was tipped 12-7 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Boyne City Ramblers (Boyne City, MI)

    The Ramblers (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Elk Rapids (Elk Rapids, MI). The Elks come into the Northern Michigan - Leaders challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Elk Rapids was tipped by Benzie Central (Benzonia, MI), 47-26, in a league challenge.

    The Panthers now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Ithaca for a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 31. Standish-Sterling will meet a Yellowjackets team coming off a 63-6 non-league win over Homer (Homer, MI). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 1-0.
