In Friday's non-league game, the Briarfield Academy Rebels (Lake Providence, LA) football team knocked off the host Prairie View Academy Spartans (Bastrop, LA), by a final score of 34-14.
The Rebels (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Tallulah Academy (Tallulah, LA). The Trojans come into the non-league game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Tallulah Academy toppled Franklin Academy (Winnsboro, LA), 52-14, in a non-league game.
The Spartans now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Woodlawn for a non-league game on Friday, September 1.
