Virginia High School Football - Catholic nips First Flight

In Friday's non-league match, the host Catholic Crusaders football squad scored a close 29-22 victory over the First Flight Nighthawks.

In their next game, the Crusaders clash with the John Paul II Catholic Saints (Greenville, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, August 31. Catholic will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Saints enter the match with a 2-0 record after their 45-26 non-league win over Lawrence Academy/Albemarle School (Merry Hill, NC).

The Nighthawks (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Washington County (Plymouth, NC). The Panthers enter the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Washington County held off Southside (Chocowinity, NC), 28-6, in a non-league match.
