The Cushing Bearkats (Cushing, TX) football defeated the visiting Cayuga Wildcats (Cayuga, TX), 20-12 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Bearkats face the Deweyville Pirates (Deweyville, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 1. Cushing will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Pirates enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 42-22 non-league win over Mt. Enterprise (Mt. Enterprise, TX).

The Wildcats (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Mildred (Corsicana, TX). The Eagles enter the non-league bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, Mildred defeated Life Oak Cliff (Dallas, TX), 48-0, in a non-league bout.
