The Christopher-Zeigler-Royalton Bearcats football team (Christopher, IL), was beaten 32-12 in Friday's league challenge with the host Johnston City Indians (Johnston City, IL)

The Indians (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Edwards County (Albion, IL). The Lions come into the Black Diamond challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Edwards County was beaten by Eldorado (Eldorado, IL), 12-7, in a league challenge.

The Bearcats now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Flora for a Black Diamond challenge on Friday, September 1. Christopher-Zeigler-Royalton will meet a Wolves team coming off a 52-16 league loss to Carmi-White County (Carmi, IL). The Wolves record now stands at 0-1.
