    The Freeland Falcons held off the host Clare Pioneers football team by a final score of 29-26 in Friday's non-league outing.

    With the win, Freeland improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Falcons travel to Swan Valley (Saginaw, MI) to confront the Vikings in a Tri-Valley - Red outing on Thursday, August 31. The Vikings go into the outing with a record of 0-1. Swan Valley lost 37-7 in their recent non-league outing against Croswell-Lexington (Croswell, MI)

    With the loss, Clare moves to 0-1 on the season. The Pioneers host Pinconning (Pinconning, MI) to confront the Spartans in a Jack Pine outing on Thursday, August 31. The Spartans go into the outing with a record of 0-1. Pinconning lost 14-7 in their recent non-league outing against Tawas Area (Tawas City, MI)
