The Mediapolis Bulldogs (Mediapolis, IA) football defeated the visiting Columbus Wildcats (Columbus Junction, IA), 33-7 in Friday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Sigourney-Keota Cobras (Sigourney, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 1. Mediapolis will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Cobras enter the bout with a 0-1 record after their 22-15 non-league loss to Prairie City-Monroe (Monroe, IA).
The Wildcats (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Wapello (Wapello, IA). The Indians enter the A District 5 bout with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Wapello lost by West Burlington/Notre Dame (West Burlington, IA), 46-6, in a non-league bout.
