The Giltner Hornets football squad scored 44 points and limited the visiting Deshler Dragons to 6 in the Hornets non-league win on Friday.

The Hornets now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Kenesaw for a non-league battle on Friday, September 1. Giltner will play a Blue Devils squad coming off a 36-16 non-league loss to Loomis (Loomis, NE). The Blue Devils record now stands at 0-1.

Coming up next, the Dragons play the Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans (Humboldt, NE) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 1. Deshler will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record.
