North Carolina High School Football - East Rowan can't get by North Stanly

August 25, 2023: New London, NC 28127

North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team nudge the visiting East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC), 37-31 in a non-league test.

With the win, North Stanly improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Comets travel to Western Alamance (Elon, NC) to confront the Warriors in a non-league test on Friday, September 1. The Warriors go into the test with a record of 1-1. Western Alamance won 25-24 in their recent non-league test against Cummings (Burlington, NC)

With the loss, East Rowan moves to 0-2 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Salisbury (Salisbury, NC) to confront the Hornets in a non-league test on Friday, September 1. The Hornets go into the test with a record of 2-0. Salisbury won 62-6 in their recent non-league test against Walkertown (Walkertown, NC)
