The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Fort Cherry Rangers (McDonald, PA) and the host Northgate Flames (Pittsburgh, PA), observed Fort Cherry's football squad defeat Northgate by a count of 21-0.

The Rangers now own a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Carmichaels for a non-league contest on Friday, September 1. Fort Cherry will play a Mighty Mikes squad coming off a 35-0 non-league loss to Waynesburg Central (Waynesburg, PA). The Mighty Mikes record now stands at 0-1.

Coming up next, the Flames play the Springdale Dynamos (Springdale, PA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 1. Northgate will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Dynamos go into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 28-14 non-league loss to Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA).
