The Yuba City Honkers football squad scored 28 points and limited the visiting Galena Grizzlies to 23 in the Honkers non-league win on Friday.

The Honkers now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Pleasant Valley for a non-league battle on Friday, September 1. Yuba City will play a Vikings squad coming off a 44-18 non-league win over Corning (Corning, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 1-0.

Coming up next, the Grizzlies play the Churchill County Greenwave (Fallon, NV) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 1. Galena will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Greenwave go into the battle with a 0-1 record after their 23-16 non-league loss to Reed (Sparks, NV).
