The John Marshall Monarchs football team (Glen Dale, WV), was ripped 42-7 in Friday's league challenge with the host University Hawks (Morgantown, WV)
The Hawks (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Parkersburg South (Parkersburg, WV). The Patriots come into the Ohio Valley AAAAA challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Parkersburg South trounced Capital (Charleston, WV), 83-26, in a non-league challenge.
The Monarchs now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Union Local for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 1. John Marshall will meet a Jets team coming off a 48-7 non-league win over Buckeye Local (Rayland, OH). The Jets record now stands at 2-0.
