In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Oxford Chargers football squad scored a big 42-7 victory over the Lafayette Commodores.

In their next game, the Chargers clash with the South Panola Tigers (Batesville, MS) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 1. Oxford will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 28-26 non-league win over Houston (Germantown, TN).

The Commodores (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Horn Lake (Horn Lake, MS). The Eagles enter the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Horn Lake was crushed by Southwind (Memphis, TN), 48-12, in a non-league match.
