In Friday's non-league game, the McDonogh Eagles (Owings Mills, MD) football team knocked off the visiting Mt. Zion Prep Academy Warriors (Lanham, MD), by a final score of 22-6.
The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Broadneck (Annapolis, MD). The Bruins come into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Broadneck toppled Northern (Owings, MD), 59-0, in a non-league game.
The Warriors now hold a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Beacon Hill HomeSchool for a non-league game on Friday, September 8. Mt. Zion Prep Academy will battle a Beacon hill team coming off a 38-0 non-league loss to Trinity Christian (Fayetteville, NC). The Beacon hill record now stands at 0-2.
