The Rumson-Fair Haven Bulldogs (Rumson, NJ) football defeated the host Middletown South Eagles (Middletown, NJ), 24-6 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Matawan Regional Huskies (Aberdeen, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 1. Rumson-Fair Haven will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Huskies enter the bout with a 0-1 record after their 42-0 non-league loss to Cedar Creek (Egg Harbor City, NJ).

The Eagles (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Raritan (Hazlet, NJ). The Rockets enter the non-league bout with a 0-0 record.
