The Mineral Point Pointers football team (Mineral Point, WI), was ripped 35-0 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Platteville Hillmen (Platteville, WI)

The Hillmen (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Dodgeville (Dodgeville, WI). The Dodgers come into the Southwest Wisconsin challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Dodgeville trounced Pecatonica/Argyle (Blanchardville, WI), 33-22, in a non-league challenge.

The Pointers now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southwestern for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 1. Mineral Point will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 40-13 non-league win over Boscobel (Boscobel, WI). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-0.
