Mississippi High School Football - Murrah knocks off Port Gibson

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Murrah Mustangs (Jackson, MS) and the visiting Port Gibson Blue Waves (Port Gibson, MS), observed Murrah's football squad thwart Port Gibson by a tally of 39-12.

The Mustangs now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Callaway for a non-league contest on Friday, September 1. Murrah will play a Chargers squad coming off a 32-0 non-league win over Provine (Jackson, MS). The Chargers record now stands at 1-0.

Coming up next, the Blue Waves play the Jim Hill Tigers (Jackson, MS) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 1. Port Gibson will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 48-0 non-league loss to McComb (McComb, MS).
