Illinois High School Football - Normal Community smashes Sacred Heart-Griffin

August 25, 2023: Normal, IL 61761

The Normal Community Ironmen (Normal, IL) football routed the visiting Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones (Springfield, IL), 54-14 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Ironmen face the Champaign Central Maroons (Champaign, IL) in a Big Twelve bout, on Friday, September 1. Normal Community will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Maroons enter the bout with a 0-1 record after their 47-7 league loss to Normal West (Normal, IL).

The Cyclones (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Normal University (Normal, IL). The Pioneers enter the Central State Eight bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, Normal University walloped Springfield (Springfield, IL), 35-18, in a league bout.
