The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Richfield Wildcats (Richfield, UT) and the visiting Payson Lions (Payson, UT), observed Richfield's football squad defeat Payson by a count of 37-21.

The Wildcats now own a 3-0 record. They play next when they host Ogden for a non-league contest on Friday, September 1. Richfield will play a Tigers squad coming off a 55-0 non-league win over Carbon (Price, UT). The Tigers record now stands at 3-0.

Coming up next, the Lions play the Mountain View Bruins (Orem, UT) in a 4A Region 8 contest, on Friday, September 1. Payson will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Bruins go into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 20-15 non-league win over Cottonwood (Salt Lake City, UT).
