The Sheridan Generals (Thornville, OH) football edged the host Watkins Memorial Warriors (Pataskala, OH), 24-19 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Generals face the Logan Chieftains (Logan, OH) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 1. Sheridan will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Chieftains enter the bout with a 0-2 record after their 28-6 non-league loss to Teays Valley (Ashville, OH).
