Pennsylvania High School Football - South Allegheny prevails Yough

August 25, 2023: McKeesport, PA 15133

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the South Allegheny Gladiators (McKeesport, PA) and the visiting Yough Cougars (Herminie, PA), observed South Allegheny's football squad defeat Yough by a count of 28-14.

The Gladiators now own a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Freeport for a non-league contest on Friday, September 1. South Allegheny will encounter a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 28-14 non-league loss to Indiana (Indiana, PA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 0-1.

Coming up next, the Cougars encounter the Mt. Pleasant Vikings (Mt. Pleasant, PA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 1. Yough will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Vikings go into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 37-24 non-league loss to Greensburg Central Catholic (Greensburg, PA).
