The University School of Jackson Bruins held off the visiting Union City Golden Tornadoes football team by a final score of 20-19 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, University School of Jackson improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Bruins travel to Trinity Christian Academy (Jackson, TN) to confront the Lions in a non-league outing on Friday, September 1. The Lions go into the outing with a record of 1-0. Trinity Christian Academy won 27-20 in their recent non-league outing against Chester County (Henderson, TN)

With the loss, Union City moves to 0-2 on the season. The Golden tornadoes host Dyer County (Newbern, TN) to confront the Choctaws in a non-league outing on Friday, September 1. The Choctaws go into the outing with a record of 1-1. Dyer County won 38-6 in their recent non-league outing against Trezevant (Memphis, TN)
