Goretti Gael (Hagerstown, MD) supporters were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the host Rockbridge Academy Scots (Millersville, MD), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Gael confront the Washington Patriots (Charles Town, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 26. Goretti will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 8-0 non-league win over St. John's Catholic Prep (Buckeystown, MD).
The Scots now possess a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Takoma Academy for a Maryland Independent Schools I challenge on Thursday, September 7.
