The Dr. Maya Angelou Community Phoenix topped the visiting Contreras Cobras volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Friday's non-league test.
The Phoenix now have a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rancho Dominguez for a non-league test on Monday, August 28.
The Cobras (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Orthopaedic (Los Angeles, CA). The Vipers enter the non-league test with a 3-4 record. In their last test, Orthopaedic was knocked off by Sylmar (Sylmar, CA), 1-0, in a non-league test.
