Calhoun Yellow Jackets (Calhoun, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs (Kennesaw, GA), 10-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Yellow Jackets now sport a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mount Paran Christian for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 26. Calhoun will face a Eagles squad coming off a 10-6 non-league win over Mount Vernon (Atlanta, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 7-0.
With the loss, Kennesaw Mountain falls to 0-9 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to North Cobb (Kennesaw, GA) to face the Warriors in a 7A Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, August 29. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 7-0.
