The South Paulding Spartans routed the host Locust Grove Wildcats softball squad by a final score of 8-1 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Spartans (8-2) will now prepare for their battle against Woodstock (Woodstock, GA). The Wolverines go into the non-league battle with a 4-6 record. In their last battle, Woodstock nudged Etowah (Woodstock, GA), 5-4, in a league battle.

The Wildcats now possess a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Calvary Day for a non-league battle on Saturday, August 26. Locust Grove will meet a Cavaliers squad coming off a 14-0 non-league win over McIntosh County Academy (Darien, GA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 3-3.
