In Friday's non-league battle, the host Big Spring Steers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Pecos Eagles.

The Steers (6-14) will now prepare for their battle against Kermit (Kermit, TX). The Yellow Jackets come into the non-league battle with a 0-5 record. In their last battle, Kermit lost by Brownfield (Brownfield, TX), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Eagles clash with the Denver City Mustangs (Denver City, TX) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, August 26. Pecos will attempt to advance on its 4-7 season record. The Mustangs come into the battle with a 15-5 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Southcrest Christian (Lubbock, TX).
