The Lawrence County Bulldogs soccer squad scored 5 points and held the visiting Prestonsburg Blackcats to 1 in the Bulldogs league victory on Monday.
The Bulldogs now hold a 3-3 record. They play next when they host Pike County Central for a District 57 bout on Monday, August 25.
With the loss, Prestonsburg moves to 3-2 on the year. The Blackcats host Belfry (Belfry, KY) to encounter the Pirates in a District 57 contest on Tuesday, August 26. The Pirates enter the contest with a record of 3-2. Belfry won 9-0 in their recent non-league contest against Knott County Central (Hindman, KY)
