Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Solon Comets (Solon, OH) and the visiting Mayfield Wildcats (Mayfield, OH), saw Solon's soccer squad triumph over Mayfield by a count of 5-0.
The Comets (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Hudson (Hudson, OH). The Explorers enter the Suburban - National battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Hudson tipped Magnificat (Rocky River, OH), 4-1, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Wildcats battle the Green Bulldogs (Uniontown, OH) in a non-league match, on Saturday, August 30. Mayfield will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 3-2 record after their 3-0 league win over Hoover (North Canton, OH).
