The Jefferson Dragons triumphed over the visiting Elbert County Blue Devils softball squad by a count of 9-1 in Monday's non-league challenge.

The Dragons now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cherokee Bluff for a battle on Tuesday, August 26. Jefferson will confront a Bears team coming off a 7-2 non-league loss to Seckinger (Buford, GA). The Bears record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Elbert County moves to 0-1 on the season.
