Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Intrinsic Mustangs (Chicago, IL) and the visiting North Grand Eagle Owls (Chicago, IL), observed Intrinsic's volleyball team hold off North Grand by a tally of 2-1.

The Mustangs (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Steinmetz College Prep (Chicago, IL). The Silver Streaks go into the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Steinmetz College Prep was edged by Hubbard (Chicago, IL), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Eagle Owls now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kennedy for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 26.
