Elkins Tigers (Elkins, WV) fans went home in high spirits Monday as they observed their soccer squad triumph over the visiting Philip Barbour Colts (Philippi, WV), 7-0 in a league outing.

The Tigers (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against South Harrison (Lost Creek, WV). The Hawks go into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, South Harrison Lincoln (Shinnston, WV), 2-2, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Colts clash with the Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV) in a Big Ten test, on Thursday, August 28. Philip Barbour will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Knights come into the test with a 1-1 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to Keyser (Keyser, WV).
