Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Manteo Redskins (Manteo, NC) and the host Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC), saw Manteo's soccer squad triumph over Northeastern by a score of 7-0.
The Redskins (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Currituck County (Barco, NC). The Knights come into the non-league test with a 3-1 record. In their last test, Currituck County was overwhelmed by Randleman (Randleman, NC), 4-0, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech for a non-league test on Wednesday, August 27. Northeastern will clash with a Griffins team coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Perquimans (Hertford, NC). The Griffins record now stands at 4-0.
