In Monday's non-league outing, the host Normal West Wildcats soccer squad scored a tight 6-1 victory over the Rochester Rockets.
The Wildcats (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Bradley-Bourbonnais (Bradley, IL). The Boilermakers go into the non-league outing with a 0-0 record.
In their next game, the Rockets clash with the Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL) in a Central State Eight test, on Tuesday, August 26. Rochester will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Pioneers come into the test with a 1-0 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Urbana (Urbana, IL).
