With the win, Marion County improves its record to 4-0 on the season. The Knights travel to Washington County (Springfield, KY) to face the Commanders in a non-league test on Thursday, August 28. The Commanders go into the test with a record of 1-2. Washington County lost 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Taylor County (Campbellsville, KY)

Next, the Cardinals meet the Bethlehem Eagles/Banshees (Bardstown, KY) in a District 19 challenge, on Tuesday, August 26. Nelson County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Eagles/Banshees come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Page (Franklin, TN).
