In Monday's non-league challenge, the host McMinn Central Chargers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Tellico Plains Bears.
The Chargers (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Chattanooga Central (Harrison, TN). The Pounders come into the AA District 5 challenge with a 0-1 record.
Next, the Bears meet the Lookout Valley Yellowjackets (Chattanooga, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 26. Tellico Plains will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 3-0 league loss to Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences (Chattanooga, TN).
