Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the New Roads Jaguars (Santa Monica, CA) and the host Serra Cavaliers (Gardena, CA), observed New Roads's volleyball team hold off Serra by a count of 3-2.

The Jaguars (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Hawthorne Math & Science Academy (Hawthorne, CA). The Aviators enter the Coastal contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Hawthorne Math & Science Academy tipped Animo City of Champions (Inglewood, CA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Cavaliers now own a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ramona Convent for a Santa Fe battle on Thursday, August 28. Serra will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary (Montebello, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 0-7.
