The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Roger Bacon Spartans (Cincinnati, OH) and the host Aiken Falcons (Cincinnati, OH), observed Roger Bacon's football squad edge Aiken by a count of 21-14.

The Spartans now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Newport Central Catholic for a non-league contest on Friday, September 2. Roger Bacon will encounter a Thoroughbreds squad coming off a 19-6 non-league win over Holmes (Covington, KY). The Thoroughbreds record now stands at 2-1.
