The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons (Parkersburg, IA) and the host Union Knights (La Porte City, IA), observed Aplington-Parkersburg's football squad bounce Union by a tally of 48-14.

The Falcons now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Osage for a non-league contest on Friday, September 2. Aplington-Parkersburg will play a Green Devils squad coming off a 27-19 non-league win over St. Ansgar (St. Ansgar, IA). The Green Devils record now stands at 1-0.
