The Bauxite Miners football team (Bauxite, AR), was ripped 49-14 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting Star City Bulldogs (Star City, AR)

The Bulldogs (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Stuttgart (Stuttgart, AR). The Ricebirds come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Stuttgart trounced Warren (Warren, AR), 31-28, in a non-league challenge.

The Miners now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Monticello for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 3. Bauxite will meet a Billies team coming off a 36-28 non-league win over Fordyce (Fordyce, AR). The Billies record now stands at 1-0.
