The Mater Dei Monarchs (Santa Ana, CA) football nudged the host Bishop Gorman Gaels (Las Vegas, NV), 24-21 in Friday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Monarchs face the Centennial Huskies (Corona, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 2. Mater Dei will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Huskies enter the bout with a 2-0 record after their 42-7 non-league win over Cathedral Catholic (San Diego, CA).
