In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Poteau Pirates football squad scored a good 24-6 victory over the Bishop Kelley Comets.

In their next game, the Pirates clash with the Metro Christian Patriots (Tulsa, OK) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 9. Poteau will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record.

The Comets (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Rogers (Rogers, AR). The Mountaineers enter the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Rogers thwarted Little Rock Southwest (Little Rock, AR), 49-20, in a non-league match.
