The Horizon Prep Lions held off the visiting Borrego Springs Rams football team by a count of 27-20 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Horizon Prep upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Lions travel to Ocean View Christian (San Diego, CA) to encounter the Patriots in a non-league outing on Friday, September 9. The Patriots go into the outing with a record of 0-0.

With the loss, Borrego Springs moves to 0-1 on the season. The Rams host Julian (Julian, CA) to encounter the Eagles in a non-league outing on Friday, September 2. The Eagles go into the outing with a record of 0-1. Julian lost 56-12 in their recent non-league outing against Coastal Academy (Oceanside, CA)
